What is a nightmare?
A nightmare is when you are suddenly awakened by a nightmare and can clearly recall the contents of the nightmare. Generally, children tend to happen in the second half of the night after hearing scary stories or watching scary movies. Some adults also experience nightmares after a stressful event, such as an earthquake or a shipwreck.
