Ksitigarbha

The Bodhisattva in the book represents Buddhist destiny. If you do good, you will be rewarded with good deeds. Dreaming that the Bodhisattva smiled, the Bodhisattva's smile in the dream is a symbol of pity for the world.

Dreaming of King Ksitigarbha, you have a destiny with Buddha and Bodhisattva. Having this dream means that everything is well. If you do anything good that is meaningful to your own people, you can do it without any harm.

Ji Shichen, head of the Tibetan Dharma Association in Nandang Town, Yueqing, has always done good. Before this, I recited the 'Ksitigarbha Sutra' one day and learned the suffering of hell. I was very shocked. I also saw the scripture saying that if you want to know where your parents lived, you can recite the Bodhisattva's 'Ben Wish Sutra' and get instructions from the Bodhisattva. So he made a vow and held the fast and chanted sutras. More than thirty days later, in my dream, I saw Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, sitting on a lotus seat, shining brightly on the earth. The Bodhisattva took a solemn Dharma and said to Jushi Ji: Your parents are still in the underworld. Then he led him to a place. The layman saw his parents sitting in the courtyard of the main hall, chanting Buddha with rosary beads, but neither of them spoke. At this time, the rooster crowed, and he woke up. He burned incense and knelt in front of the Bodhisattva. He made a great wish, wishing that his parents would live in happiness as soon as possible and that he would stay a vegetarian and abstain from killing all his life. From then on, no matter how busy he was, he would recite the 'Ksitigarbha Sutra' every day, taking it his own responsibility to promote the Dharma and save people's suffering. He had not slackened off for several years. Ji Jushi contributed a lot to the establishment of the Ksitigarbha Dharma Association.
